Err..unlucky match number 13, not the result but the incident to kh. for those who missed the pulsating match on sat, kh was injured in a clash of heads with chuan of techwood. suffered a cut on the head & a dislocated jaw. ambulance called to take him to TTS Hospital. since then, the jaw's been put back (ok, slightly less handsome) & the head's stitched. much better now (and will resume playing this sunday!, did i say much better?). match was abandoned at the point when marinesunday was leading1-0, courtesy of a goal from mike assisted by KH's corner kick. the stat didn't matter, we knew we had them on the day....it's not over!
here are some comments from the team and some keen-eyed observers (players in limbo, pardon the pun, i mean those who'll be coming back strongly soon!)

The match was coming to an end when the incident happened. There were at most another 3-5 mins left in the game according to my watch. You guys played so well, especially the defence & shut them out effectively. They resorted to sending high balls into our penalty area but you basically repel everything. Just like Man U were wasteful against Pool last night, MS was generous in front of Tech's goalmouth. You should have buried the game earlier in the game. My point here is that MS has won the game last sat.
Regarding the incident. Chuan was clumsy, he was desperate to send the ball back to their attackers, he thought his height was good enough to outjumped KH. The bump on his forehead which I saw later showed how hard he went for it to dislocate KH's jaw. It was needless & unnecessary. Maybe he knew he could make a claim being an insurance manager.
Some of us had an argument with the referee after KH was sent to TTSH. We made it known that he did a poor job & was partly to blame for the KH incident. Regarding some dubious decisions, he explained that things looked differently from where he saw it. He claimed he was not biased but did admit to me that he was probably not strict enough in issuing card earlier. His reason was he did not want to spoil what is just a friendly game. I retorted that this is the problem when referee did not take action earlier & let game gets out of control. Spoken like a true "veteran" social soccer player of 15-20 years to a referee of 2 years experience. At the end of it, I could see he was probably a bit lost refereeing such a highly-charged game.
Like Italian Dons, I think we are done playing against them? Or maybe we are done playing at St Wilfred ????

agree. usually the results stands if only a few minutes are left.
watching as a spectator, our team did brilliantly throughout except for a 15 minute spell in the 1st half when they had more possession after our usual fast start. but our defense line was awesome and was repelling everything. Their golden left leg was left with coming down to ferry the ball since he had zero service. and even when the penalty was given, it was saved, justice done since it was never a penalty.
Just like the liverpool v man u game, the referee spoilt the game with some dubious one sided decisions, coupled with some confusing instructions (pointing the wrong way many times). Chuan did the same thing to Mark and the ref awarded them the freekick...would Chuan had gone for the ball when KH was between him and the ball if the ref had gotten the 1st decision right?
The ang moh dude giving Kwan an headlock in the box...their attitude keeper who kicked out at Leng and wasn't sent off...the midfielder who elbowed Chye in the centre circle...these guys obviously are bad losers...
Will be interesting to see how they report the match in their website...

ps - watch this space for techwood's perspective of the match! st
Guys,
Please don't play with them again. They are sore losers.
The VS teachers played against them about a month ago and we lost 3-1. The score was 1-1 at half time. In the second half they put in all the young players and as usual the game became very robust. Their bald headed ang moh idiot whacked two of our guys. He had his arms around Mark penu's (VS defender) head when M Penu brought him down. This ang moh is at least a head taller then him and started using vulgar words. The ref did not do anything. It was a bruising game and before the game I did tell the teachers to jaga themselves as this team will not want to lose. The techers will not play them again.

ps - armlock again? sounds like ang mo is some character my kid likes on their psp...hv u heard of wwe: smackdown vs raw ;) wrong arena buddy ;) st
About the game, I think we should not play against them again. I agree with many who had posted their comments....Techwood 'Su Bui Ki'.
Again, I would like to stress to all that we play hard to enjoy the game we love, but not to get injured needlessly against a team like this. This is one of 3 teams that we should not play against anymore. The other two being
'Italian Don' and 'Cheena Juventus'.

KH is better by the minute! Thank you guys for your concern, regards and all assistance rendered (on the field, on the way to hospital, at hospital, etc).
This is typed in the air enroute to Taipei....last weekend was depressing in terms of footbball, I missed 2 glorious chances against Techwood, sustained a needless injury and Liverpool was humiliated by Man U.
Left jaw is still sore, unable to open my mouth too wide but thank goodness, no fracture sustained, no swell and injury not as bad as the I had a few years when I had multiple fractures on the cheek resulting from also a head-on crash (then it was by an enthusiastic 18-years old coming in from the blind side). My main discomfort is to live with the pain and soreness, as I'm allergic to painkillers. It has been quite an ordeal throughout, especially when the doc at TTSH fixed back the jaw, no painkiller to alleviate the pain. Referred to National Dental Centre yesterday. Doc confirmed the dislocation and one part, a "roller", has been dislodged but it's not serious enough to warrant a surgery to fix it back to original position. I just have to live the discomfort and possibility of recurrence and the 'click-click" sound. He also said the impact on landing must have been acute n sharp to cause me lapse into trauma, which aggravated the injury as I was struggling for breath. All in all, I'm thankful...it could have been worse.
I'm just disappointed that I received no words from Chuan. Leong, their white-haired bespectacled forward, sms-ed me to send regards.
Back to Techwood, they would definitely report that we harassed the ref throughout the match and of course they controlled the match. But apart from the dubious penalty awarded to them, which Seah superbly saved, did they really have any other scoring opportunities like we had? Match like this is always a highly-charged affair. It was quite a waste that the match ended this way, given that both sides have reasonably good players to play decent football. Ref had to shoulder part of the blame as well. Enough said about the match, I need not count the number of scoring chances we had. Everyone, including them, knew.
ps - seems like KH is resigned to hearing little clickety noises made by himself and he won't be making too much loud noises for a while. enjoy the silence everyone ;) st
